Frequently asked questions

What people ask before signing up

How long does installation really take?
In most cases, 48 hours from confirmed coverage. If your street doesn't have fibre rolled out yet or we need to coordinate with the building's community, it can take a bit longer — we tell you upfront and transparently.
What data do you need from me, and when?
Until the day of the installation we don't need any personal data from you. It's the installer, when they arrive at your home, who collects your ID/NIE/passport, the bank details for direct debit, and the personal data of the account holder. You sign the contract digitally on the same device, right there.
Can I change my plan after signing up?
Yes, any time. Going from Fibre 500 to Fibre 1000 we do remotely at no cost. Downgrading too — just give us a couple of days' notice.
What if I move to Torrevieja, Guardamar or Pilar de la Horadada?
We move your fibre to the new address if it's in our coverage area. Portability doesn't break the 12-month commitment. That said: if you move before the 12 months are up, there's usually an extra cost for the new installation (we pay the installer and materials). We tell you the exact amount beforehand.
Can I cancel before the 12 months?
Yes. Since we gave you the installation for free, its cost is pro-rated over the remaining months. After the 12 months, you're completely free — no contract, no penalty.
Does it work in older urbanisations?
Almost always, yes. We have experience with Orihuela Costa urbanisations without a nearby fibre backbone. Before promising anything, we do a free coverage study.
Which router do you provide? Can I use my own?
We give you a Wi-Fi 6 router ready for big homes and many devices. If you prefer to use your own, no problem: we put our equipment in bridge mode and your router connects via DHCP, no fuss.
Do you have 24/7 support?
Outage support 24 hours, every day. Sales and admin during office hours (Mon-Fri 10:00-18:00). For critical issues there's always someone on the other end, and you can also email us at soporte@costatelecom.es.
How is billing handled?
Direct debit, charged monthly in advance. Example: if you sign up on the 15th of January, in February you pay the February fee plus the days used in January. From then on, always the fixed monthly fee of your plan.
